5 Things Lake Martin Alabama is Not

June 13, 2017

I brag on Lake Martin every day. I'll show you by car, boat, or seaplane--and beg you to move here.

Maybe we need a different perspective. Let's discuss what Lake Martin is NOT:

Not Ugly: Sunsets, sunrises, blue water, green and rich chestnut-colored shorelines, even cliffs. It matters not what season it is or what direction you look, postcard scenes are everywhere at our beautiful lake.

Not Small: 880 miles of shoreline--attracting visitors and new residents from all over the country.

Not dirty: Thanks to the work of the Lake Martin Resource Association and resident volunteers, Lake Martin is kept pristine, free of litter.

Not Boring: Living or vacationing on Lake Martin provides recreation activity opportunities of all sorts: sailing, fishing, skiing, nature walks, deck parties, even surfboard yoga.

Not Overdeveloped: A peaceful and serene experience means keeping limits on residential and commercial development. And that's what is at Lake Martin in Alabama. But this means the home buyer will find fewer houses on the market.
